Driveway Grading & Reshaping
CCG grades and reshapes gravel driveways to correct potholes, ruts and uneven surfaces. Before equipment moves in, we review the existing base, slope, surrounding terrain and the direction water travels. That helps determine whether the driveway needs simple grading, deeper reshaping or additional gravel. The goal is a smoother surface that fits how the cottage property is actually used.

When reshaping is not enough, CCG can add and grade suitable surface gravel to restore a durable cottage driveway. We look at the condition of the existing base, how the material has moved and where traffic is creating wear. New gravel is placed and shaped to support drainage and regular access. Material quantities and the practical scope of work are confirmed after seeing the property.

Spring washouts often return when water continues travelling through or across the driveway. CCG looks beyond the visible damage to understand the surrounding slope, drainage path and any culvert influencing the flow. The repair may involve drainage correction, reshaping the affected area or rebuilding it with added gravel. Addressing the cause helps the repaired surface hold up better through future storms.

Private-Road Grading
Long cottage lanes and selected private roads may need recurring grading and maintenance as traffic, rain and seasonal conditions move the gravel. CCG reviews the road surface, access, drainage and problem areas before recommending a practical maintenance approach. Work may include reshaping ruts, restoring the driving surface or correcting sections that hold water. Service is available for suitable properties around Halls Lake and Algonquin Highlands.
