GARAGE DRAINAGE PROJECT
Directing water away from the garage.
Groundwater from the hillside had left the ground beside this garage saturated and soft underfoot, with water collecting along the building and leaking inside. CCG installed a French drain along the driveway and garage. The drainage stone allows water into the system, while the perforated pipe carries it to an outlet behind the building. On return visits for other work, we confirmed the pooling and leakage had stopped and saw the drain continuing to carry water away.

Good drainage starts with the ground.
Soggy ground, water beside a cottage and washed-out gravel do not always have the same cause. Water may be flowing across the surface, moving through the ground, or both.
CCG looks at where the water comes from and where it can safely go before recommending grading, a French drain or a surface swale. The aim is to address the source without moving the problem elsewhere.

When rain leaves puddles in the yard or carries gravel downhill, the ground may be directing water into the wrong place. CCG reshapes grades to give surface runoff a suitable path. We consider the cottage, driveway and usable yard together, so improving one area does not send the problem into another.

Culvert Installation & Replacement
Water backing up beside a driveway or spilling across a lane calls for a look at the whole crossing, not just the pipe. CCG installs and replaces culverts and carries out ditching to help water pass beneath access routes. We check the surrounding grades, inlet and outlet, along with applicable entrance or road requirements.
